About Pebble & Path

Pebble & Path started with a simple idea: The road to better care is one that we walk together.

Eileen Slade, LCSW (she/they) is a clinical social worker, educator, and big-picture thinker based in North Carolina. She works at the intersection of intellectual and developmental disability (I/DD) and mental health, where she offers trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming support to people of all ages with disabilities—and to the care partners who share their paths.

Eileen brings more than a decade of clinical experience in I/DD settings, along with a lifetime as a sibling and a person with her own divergent brain. She approaches this work with profound respect for interdependence and dignity of risk.

Through Pebble & Path, Eileen offers clinical supervision and consultation for social workers who are committed to supporting children and adults with I/DD. She believes that a stronger, more compassionate clinical community is built the same way that change happens in people: in relationship, with patience and intention.
